Looks simple - a short DOM steel tube, squared to length with six holes drilled at 60 degrees around it - but the catch is the split. It's sawn right through into two halves that stay together as a matched pair, and the cut has to land in exactly the right spot relative to the holes. We cut the slot with a thin mill, then one of our guys finished the web by hand so the halves sit right, and it goes out for electroless nickel plating through our plating partner. Not every job is all machine - sometimes the last bit is done by hand.
