This is an alloy steel sleeve that's half lathe work, half mill work. One end is turned and bored with a 2-3/8-12 SLB box thread and a radiused seat held within .001; the other end is cut away on the mill - two flats, an angled face, a radiused pocket and a pair of dog-leg J-slots through the wall. The slots and the angled cuts all have to line up with each other and with the threaded end, and that's where most of the time on this part goes. Laser-engraved in house and phosphated through our finishing partner.
