This is an alloy steel mounting ring - a compact threaded ring with a central M20 thread, a seat bored around it, and four holes in the OD for a pin spanner. We turned the body, the seat and the chamfers, cut the M20 thread, and drilled the side holes. After machining it was nitrided through our finishing partner, which gives it the hard, dark surface you see here - we line up the finishing as well as the machining, so the customer gets the part done in one place.
