This is a finned aluminum body for a dummy load - a big, complex part with a deep bore running most of its length. We bored it out first - the deep bore and the seal diameters - then turned the outside profile, milled the twelve cooling fins on the 4-axis, and drilled and tapped the M4 and M5 hole patterns, with the warning markings laser-engraved in house. The bore is the tricky part - it runs about 155 mm deep and has to stay round and on size the whole way down. Between the fin milling, the deep boring and the in-house engraving, there's a lot of different work packed into one part.
