This is the aluminum cap that closes off the dummy-load body - a round cover about 150 mm across, with a recessed seat and an O-ring groove on the inside face and six counterbored holes around the flange. We turned the face, the seat and the groove, parted it off deep from the bar, then drilled the bolt pattern and laser-engraved the text and logo in house. The deep cutoff is the one to watch - a wide part-off in aluminum wants to chatter, so we took it steady. It's the mate to the finned body we ran alongside it.
