This is a 7-inch alloy steel sub with a slim neck on one end and a 2-3/8-12 SLB pin thread past the shoulder at the other, bored through the middle. We turned the OD steps and the bore with its internal seats, single-pointed the external thread, cut the O-ring groove next to it, and milled three sets of wrench grooves into the collar. The seal diameters are held to .002, and the thread has to run true to the bore so it makes up straight. Laser-engraved in house and phosphated through our finishing partner.
