This is an alloy steel downhole adapter - a 2-3/8 PAC box thread in one end and a 1-3/8-12 UN box thread in the stepped neck at the other. We turned and bored it, single-pointed both internal threads, drilled and tapped two 1/4-20 holes through to the bore, milled three sets of wrench grooves into the OD, and laser-engraved the markings on the new laser we added to the shop in 2026. The PAC box is a tapered thread, so the bore and the thread have to run true to the OD - we held that to .002 TIR. Then it went out for phosphate through our regular finishing partner and was back in two days.
